OUR PURPOSE
Lighthaus Arts CIC is a grassroots, artist-led organisation rooted in South Leamington Spa. We’re a community of artists, educators, and cultural workers creating a new kind of space—one that’s open, inclusive, and shaped by the people who use it.
Our purpose is simple but powerful: to make the arts more accessible, relevant, and empowering for everyone. We support local artists and creative practitioners at every stage of their journey, with a strong focus on those who’ve faced barriers—whether through financial hardship, mental health challenges, or systemic exclusion.
Through artist residencies, mentoring, studio space, exhibitions, and opportunities, we help creative people build sustainable careers and connect with others.
But our work goes beyond the studio. We collaborate with charities, grassroots groups, and residents to co-create programmes that respond directly to local need—from free workshops and creative outreach to community exhibitions and public art. Whether you’re an emerging artist, a local parent, or someone who’s never picked up a paintbrush before—there’s space for you here.
At Lighthaus, we believe that creativity belongs to everyone. And together, we’re building a space that proves it.

ARTS, SOCIAL & EDUCATIONAL EVENTS
We run a dynamic programme of arts events and workshops that bring together artists, creatives, and local residents to connect, share experiences, and spark conversation. From informal socials to artist-led discussions, our events are designed to foster community and collaboration within the creative sector.
We work with a diverse network of artists and cultural practitioners to host talks and panels featuring voices that are both inspiring and relatable. These events offer opportunities to explore practice, process, and creative pathways.
Our arts education workshops are tailored to open up access to careers in the creative industries—building awareness, skills, and confidence for those considering a future in the arts.

MENTORING & WORK EXPERIENCE
We partner with local schools, colleges, and community groups to offer mentoring and meaningful work experience placements. These opportunities provide hands-on experience in areas such as gallery curation, event planning, and arts administration.
By bridging the gap between education and real-world practice, we help participants gain the tools they need to navigate creative careers—whether it’s developing artistic skills, building a portfolio, or learning about self-promotion and marketing.

COMMUNITY PROJECTS
At Lighthaus Arts, we design and deliver community arts projects that support wellbeing, creativity, and social connection. These projects are co-created with local people and often developed in partnership with charities, schools, or grassroots organisations.
If you’re interested in collaborating with us on a community project, we’d love to hear from you.
